Simple Saturday

Okay, I think we are back on track here!  I want to thank y'all for your sweet comments and e-mails from the other day.  It was a particularly difficult time for me, and I really appreciate everyone's beautiful words!

We're moving on now, because life totes goes on!  I'm glad I had a lot to do this week -- work has been banaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanas.  Turns out the last couple of weeks of school is actually really tough for teachers.  I'm dead serious when I say that, too.  I never realized how much stuff is getting done by the end of the school year.  So, I took some time to relax this week and take care of myself.

A facial on Monday.  I had scheduled this months ago, and I was stoked when my girl called to remind me that I had it Monday afternoon.

We don't know who's doing this at work, but they're putting this piggy on everyone's car randomly.  He was on my Jeep Tuesday afternoon.

Wednesday, the /R/iver /R/unners celebrated National Running Day in style.

Our workout = 800m warm-up; 1 x 200 (200 recovery); 1 x 400, 600, 800, 800, 600, 400 (400 recovery for each), 1 x 200 (200 recovery), 1 x 400m cooldown.  We were thirsty.

Thursday = some me time again.

Friday morning spin class.  The intervals were AWESOME!  I love how my instructor changes things up, and her music rocks.  Two marks of a fantastic group exercise instructor.

A bead of sweat on my *thumbs up* while doing some corework post-spin.

Holding planks --

One of my students gave me this scarf...I was SO STOKED!  He was my P.E. Star of the Year, and I had gotten him tickets to the Chicago Fire soccer game last weekend for his prize.

From my Instagram yesterday.  DID YOU CELEBRATE?!

Confession:  I almost didn't get to celebrate.  But fate had its own plan for me.  A friend at work randomly went to get a cup of coffee from the Dunkin' Donuts a block from our school around 2:30pm.  She had randomly come into my gym to chat for a moment and mentioned it, and I found my chance!  Thanks again, Laura!

A seriously easy dinner last night -- Annie's Mac n' Cheese with roasted broccoli and garlic bread.  Harry added brats to his.

Harry and I were both so exhausted that we went and chilled in bed around 8:00pm.  I think I fell asleep around 8:30pm.  I'm happy to have ended this week with a smile on my face.

*BRAIN HUG* IS BACK.

I didn't get a chance to chat with you at all!  How was YOUR week?!

Any races this weekend?

AREN'T BABY GOATS THE CUTEST?  IN PJs?!

If you were getting a pedicure right now, what color nail polish would you go with?
