Views From My Jeep

The inside of my Jeep yesterday morning in Chicago:

FYI:  I'm still really sick.  I just made an appointment for the medical clinic close to my parents' house.

I took a half day from work yesterday, so I wouldn't be rushed getting home, and Harry and I setting off for the airport.  I'm suuuuuuuuuuper happy I did, since President Obama was speaking just a mile away from my house.  Harry and I got packed and hit the blue line to make our way to O'Hare.

Behold, my favorite machine at the airport!

Harry and I have a traditional "airport" beer whenever we're flying.  Since there was a Goose Island restaurant next to our gate, it seemed like a no-brainer.

Aaaaaaaaaaaand the very, very, very, very last row of the plane.  Hooray.  (Period...no exclamation point.  Nope.)

We finally arrived in Dallas, where my parents greeted us!  I'm not gonna lie:  The rest of the trip home was a blur.  I was pretty miserable, with the sinus pressure and going through a whole thing of Kleenexes and Starbucks napkins, I just wanted to be comfortable.  Harry and I hit the hay, and I pretty much zonked within five minutes of my head hitting the pillow.

I woke up feeling pretty crummy.  My Mom and I hung out for a while.  Her + Technology = Cutest thing ever.  She's talking to Siri in this picture.

Even though we have Five Guys Burgers in Chicago, Harry hasn't tried it, and today seemed like a good day for a burger adventure.

Harry fell in love with the Coca-Cola fountain drink dispenser.

This has pretty much been our day:  Everyone on their technology.  Although, Harry has just mentioned something about a nap, and my poor body could use a nap break.  That's what holidays are for, seriously.

Oh, and the whole family thing, too.;)

  1. Please get better. Like now. I don't like this. And it saddens me. And I don't like to be sad. I really don't. So fix it. Thank you.
Just start eating pie for hydration and antioxidants.
