Marathon Training: Week 17 [How Stereotypical Can I Get?]

It's the final week.  You know what happens during this week?

I obsess over this video.

And the weather.

I get the rational urge to watch "Rocky", specifically "Rocky IV".  Lord help me if this song comes on my iPod when I'm in the Jeep.  The gears in my brain start workingggggggg...

I eat like a good girl.  For the most part.  And this is how excited I'll be about it.Not.

I listen to stereotypical "PUMP UP" tunes while training.

And whenever I do think about actually running the course (which I have twice), this happens:

And then, I'll remind myself to just trust myself.

It's going to be a short week.  I just know it.
Week Seventeen Wrap-Up

Monday - 45 minute Spin class
Tuesday - 5.02 easy miles
Wednesday - 6.34 easy miles
Thursday - REST
Friday - 5.05 easy miles
Saturday - 12.03 long run miles
Sunday - 3.00 easy miles

31.44 miles for the week.  Next week, most of those miles will be done in one morning.:)

  1. I'm 2 weeks out from my first marathon and I am having all of the same feelings...I can only imagine they will be amplified next week!! I'm sure you will rock this marathon!!!
