Marvelous March Monday [Challenges and NEWS!]

So yanno, I'm doing four challenges this month.  So far, so good.  That's right.  My inconsistent booty has lasted in four challenges for three days!  After getting all four challenges completed yesterday (IT HAD ONLY BEEN TWO DAYS), this was me:

I promptly fell asleep.  Needless to say, I'm not a very dedicated person.  That should be apparent, if I'm this stoked for sticking with something for a short period of time.

Days two and three of the #SweatHappyWithYoga Challenge!  I only just realized today that I had the option to set the self-timer camera app on my iPhone for longer than five seconds.  I scrambled to get this one yesterday.

And, having 15 seconds, felt much more comfortable in my pose, and less rushed.  See, I can sit up nice and tall with more time.  Also, the radiator was on...my booty was toasty after getting the right shot.  Heh.

My #ZOOMAPhotoADay Challenge is coming along nicely, as well.  Yesterday's shot was "Outdoors".  Since we got a ton more snow Saturday night, I decided to go with a shot from Saturday afternoon when we went ice skating.

Today, it was "Fuel".  Mmmmm...Chocolate-Peanut Butter Boba!

I have been able to have my quiet time (Joyce Meyer's 3030 Challenge of reading my Bible) each day before I go to bed.  I was supposed to run about five miles yesterday for FitFluential's #FFMarchMiles, but that got put on the back-burner, thanks to the stinkin' snow!  (I refuse to complain this much about it; there's really no point in it.  We're all over the cold and ice and snow, and I know it'll be gone soon!)  I ran for a quarter of a mile on the treadmill, then realized I had forgotten my swim bag in the car.  Ugh.  I decided to get in a short swim while Harry ran.  I had no structure whatsoever in the pool, and it was awesome.  I did a 50 here, a 100 there, did work with the paddles and buoy, even did a little Breaststroke just for funsies between harder effort sets.  It was FUN!  I did fail to get pictures, so maybe I shouldn't pat myself on the back all that much.

Lastly, check out the upper-right side over here on the bloggie!  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~>
Do you see the buttons?!  Click on one!  Connect with me!  I put up my brand-spankin' new Facebook page yesterday.  I hit 100 *likes* this afternoon!

Go give me another smile by *liking* it, please!  :)

Harry and I are watching "X-Files" on Netflix to unwind this evening.  However, my Bible and I are going to bed preeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeetty soon.  Y'all have a wonderful night!

Are you participating in any challenges?  How are they coming along?

  1. Great job so far! I missed 100 miles by 3 last month so I am determined to make up for that this month.

  3. I just discovered the timer on my phone as well; it's life changing. Way to go on all of your challenges and that chocolate peanut butter concoction looks SO good. There's no greater combination of food than that.

    1. It was the best. This is my favorite flavor at this Boba tea place. I've never been curious of their 1, 205 (hyperbolic, much...) flavors. ;)

  5. Sorry it's been awhile since I've stopped by but I am loving your new website!!! I am so happy you're joining in our yoga challenge. I don't know how to use the self timer on my phone but I use Fast App (free!) and set it to take pictures every 2 seconds so I go do my flow and then check back the pictures when I'm done :) Hope it starts warming up soon!

    1. Hi, missy! I know you're going through some tough stuff, and I'm still keeping you in my happiest of thoughts. :) I had to download an app ("TimerCam") for my iPhone, but yours sounds pretty boss, too. I'll have to check it out.

  6. First of all, that clip from "burn after reading" cracked me up. OMG. I was laughing so hard.

But back to YOU....NICE WORK! Although, you don't really seem to be someone with commitment issues.

    1. I may or may not have done the exact celebration dance, including facial expressions, when I saw that I hit 100. I mean WHAT.

THANKS, FRIEND! Commitment issues, mehhhhhhh. How many times have I had a blog? =D

  7. So glad you are sticking out the challenge! you are rocking it :) Also, pro-tip, the self timer app is great, but the trick I use for pictures is just to take a video and then a screen shot. That way I don't have to time it just right!
