I'm Alive! Like 90% Alive!

No laptop + Family time + Sinus infection = No blogging.

After being sick for a week, my Mom *made* me go to an urgent care clinic to see what was wrong with me.  Diagnosis:  Sinus infection.  I also had a fever and didn't realize it.  I mean wow.  I got some awesome antibiotics and cough medicine with codeine in it to help me sleep.  Life has been exponentially better since that doctor's visit.

Also, they were showing "Elf" at the clinic, and had TVs in every exam room.  I was a happy-sick person.:)

I got to see my doggie, Kayla, while we were visiting family in Dallas.  I have had her since she was seven months old, and she just turned 15 years old last month.  I had to leave her in Texas with my parents, where she would have a yard, and wouldn't have to walk up and down three flights of stairs.  My parents take amazing care of her, and I know that she's happy.  Knowing that comforts me when I think about her, which is pretty much all of the time.

She's always done this, but my parents find it particularly hilarious.  Yeah, she just sticks her head there and stays there.

My Dad found these tapes somewhere.  What's bad is that I know that there are about a thousand more somewhere in their house.

After I felt (soooooooooooooooo much) better, we hit up the movies for "Mockingjay, Part I"!  Harry and my Mom found an opportunity to let loose on each others' competitive spirit.  With gusto.

Harry and I got back Saturday night -- THANKFULLY NOT SUNDAY.

At any rate, I rocked out an awesome spin class this morning to ensure a happy (sweaty) December!  Even though it's freeeeeeeeeeeezing out, I'm excited about running tomorrow morning.

And speaking of happy December, here's to you!  <3

  1. Glad you are feeling better and you had a nice time at home! I heard about the lines at Midway....I flew in this morning and at 8 a.m. the airport was PACKED.

I left my dog at home too because I knew it would be more fair to him as my parents could come home during the day and let him out. I love going home and spending 24/7 with him. Miss him already!

  2. So so happy to hear that you are better. I used to get a sinus infection every Thanksgiving. I came back through Midway on Friday (and left Tuesday) so I had no problems.
Ahhhh cassette tapes. I miss them and the need to restring them. Said no one ever.
