Like Halloween. Seriously. My neighbors rock.
Short, early morning runs. This was my second run this past week, and with it being only four miles (rather than eight or nine), I had all sorts of happy going on. I did get emotional at some point when I realized that I was listening to the song that I was listening to during mile 25 of the marathon. I let out several sobs and thanked God for my amazing experience.
I've had time to hang out with friends and their creepy pets.
Lol jk, this cat's awesome. She just...likes...to...stare...
Coffee dates. It's been SO LONG since Harry and I haven't had long runs on Saturday mornings. Like 18 weeks long. So we enjoyed ourselves this past weekend. Luckily, we have a coffee/pasty/newspaper/book shop just around the corner from our home.
So in this cool, autumn weather, we could take our pumpkin spice lattes (mine was made with almond milk) back to our cozy home. Hooray!
I FINALLY HAVE TIME for things like taking care of myself! That sounds horrrrrrrrrible, but getting my hair and eyebrows taken care of was seriously the last thing on my brain the past few months.
I also set up a facial for this afternoon. It'll be my first; keep your fingers crossed for me!:)
Short runs with Harry. We got in a couple this past weekend. We didn't even care how far or short, we just wanted to get out and stretch our legs. I hardly looked at my watch.
Paying attention to the Bride-to-Be. My good friend Terri is marrying the man of her dreams this weekend, and I'm the officiant! I'm more than honored to be marrying these two, and I haven't been able to show that as of late. We got to take her out for a night this past Saturday evening.:) A cheers to the lady of the week!
Fact: Two Bridesmaids, one Maid of Honor, and one Rev Tiff fit in the back of a Chicago cab.
We all decided that if we were to ever team up to organize world domination, it would be in this room.
Of course, I always have time for Sophia. It's the energy I sometimes lack.
And enough energy for another very short run with Harry.
Gorgeous colors! We don't get stuff like this in Texas!
And of course, time for blogging. I am very excited about this next week, getting back into spinning, some cycling, more running, and some swimming and Yoga. It's been a wonderful week of recovery, and I think it's safe to say that I'm getting itchy for longer periods of endurance again.
Plus a beautiful wedding. I can't wait to post pictures of the beautiful Bride and the handsome Groom!

Do you suddenly have time for certain things you realized you may have been missing out on after a tough training cycle?
Fave type of pancakes?
-Mine are blueberry!
It's going to be a very busy week! Any fun events coming up for you?
Aw, yay. I'm glad that you are finally feeling like your schedule is less hampered and not only do you have time for things, but you can enjoy them as well. I don't feel like my schedule changed all that much, more just the things within it did--like I did a different work out, or slept in an extra hour. I guess I did have more time for tv on certain days :D
ReplyDeleteI just completed my marathon this weekend and it's like I don't know what to do with my hands! All this free time is really nice! I am definitely looking forward to the shorter early morning runs too!
