Yesterday morning, Windy and I hit the streets for a few miles. It was 68*F, so she got a little hyper at the beginning of our run. She usually settles right into a good pace with me after .25 mile or so, and she stays on my left side. Perfect furry running buddy!
I opted for having breaky on the floor and stretched a little bit more. I'm looking for classes that my gym will offer for strength training, and I want them to be able to be consistent when school starts up again.
I showered up and took off to my first errand for the day: Getting poked by Eric, the only person on this planet that can be my most favorite and least favorite person at the same time (not because of the needles...those don't hurt! It's the very focused attention on specific areas he's massaging). Chicago running and athlete peeps: Check out PranaJaya for massage and acupuncture! Eric is VERY knowledgeable, and has been extremely imperative in my recovery and healing from my foot injuries. As of late, he's working on my right femur being...well...internally rotated. I have some work to do, myself, and I'll get into that in another post.
Lots of poking was done. Eric will place some needles in my right hand for my left foot (!!!!!!) stuff. Fifteen minutes later, and I no longer feel tender spots in my left foot. Kiiiiiiiiiind of bonkers.
After acupuncture, I hit up Costco. Days like this work out perfectly, because I can get a good meal on the cheap without having to make another stop.
LOTS of produce and a few other things later, and I was on my way to TJ's for *regular portion* things.
I have to say that I'm really, really happy to be purchasing from the pet aisle once again. So is Windy, I'm sure.
THIS WATER is my FAVORITE.
Harry had worked from home yesterday, which meant that it was just him and Windy. We're still not sure what's going on with how she perceives him, but this happened when I was gone for a while. We're getting a trainer to work with us on this.:)
Also, sorry for the portrait view -- Harry was only taking video to inform me/give me a giggle, so he didn't think to landscape it.
Once I got home and put everything away, it was time to get some school work done. I have two papers due on Sunday that I still need to work on today. I'm REALLY loving this! I also love it when everything is DONE...it makes me feel so complete to have meals and snacks ready to go for the week.
Dinner! I picked up a Take n' Bake pizza from Costco, and suddenly had a hankerin' for ranch dressing. I'm actually surprised that this picture wasn't more blurry; I was pretty hungry.
I'm currently getting caffeinated and ready for my scheduled six-miler (taking things SO SLOWLY!). HAVE AN AWESOME WEEKEND!<3

Are you a dog person, or a cat person?
-I'm an animal person, but I totally dig BIG dogs more than cats (and little dogs).
Do you have a long run scheduled for this weekend? How far are you going?
RANDOM: Know of any awesome summer sales (besides Nordstrom) going on?
At some point I want to see you. Also... puppy date?
ReplyDeletePUPPY DATE! YES! I'll text you!
