Sleeping in is for winners, & a 24-Hour CHALLENGE

Me yesterday morning...

I'm joshin'.  There's no way Harry is up before me to yank off covers, nor am I that dramatic getting up.

Tuesday mornings are set for the short run of the week.  But since I did my long run on Monday, I decided to switch the workout to spinning.  This requires me to have the same 4:30am wake up time, but my body and brain had other plans.  For the first time in a long while, I made the decision to sleep in and to do my spinning workout later in the day.  I'm lucky to have this luxury right now.  It won't be so pretty soon.

I was also lucky to have enough energy after work to hit up the gym for a solo spin.

As part of my *Move-iversary* celebration, I picked up some BBQ from Smoque for Harry and I to devour nom on before the Blackhawks game.

I had to take a picture of the board for this dessert -- there's no way I could remember all of that, even though you can taste every single letter in this deliciousness.  Also, I accidentally cut off the 'G' in "PUDDING"; however, we'd leave the 'g' off in Texas, anyway...puddin'.:)

And speaking of the Blackhawks...thanks to some triple OT action --

I didn't stay up, or I would've slept in this morning.:)

I have no choice regarding today's morning workout -- I'm off to the pool as soon as I hit "publish" on this bad boy.

I did want to leave you with one thing for today.  A CHALLENGE.  A simple one, at that.  I need this reminder every once in a while; I believe that it enhances my ability to be grateful.

Are you up for the 24-Hour Challenge?  I'm joining you!

Is there enough wiggle room in your training to sleep in, even if it's every once in a while?

F-A-V-E style of BBQ?
-I'm always about my Texas-Mesquite style.:)

F-A-V-E race distance?
-I still have no clue about this one.  I might be leaning toward the 5K, but the 1/2 is always a good time.

  1. I like all bbq, in their own way. I think that is why I love places like Rub where you get all the sauces. But I'm a big pulled chicken fan, so that is my go to, and you gotta have a good brunswick stew and corn bread. No question.
