Saturday started off with a run, that apparently had to include a bit of purple.
It was about 65*F, and what felt like 1,000% humidity (although I think it was more like 90%). I kept an easy pace; though it felt a little difficult with the weather woes.
I showered up, had some breaky, then took off to meet my Track team for their first meet. I took along about 50 bottles of water, some electrolyte powder, and snacks for them to work on throughout the day. It was still so humid and hot; I had some girls really bail because they just aren't used it.
Despite this, I had two girls place for the Super-Regionals!
Harry ended his long run at the meet so we could grab coffee and some lunch together.
With it being about 87*F outside (whaaaaaaaaaa!), I wanted something to cool me down, as well as satisfy my sweet tooth. Plus, being outside practically all day long (it was 3:00pm at this point) in the heat and humidity had DRAINED me -- therefore making me want to eat everything in sight.
A couple of hours later, I realized that while I was putting on sunscreen, I had completely missed the backs of my legs. Um...what an odd place to get sunburned. I can honestly say that I've never been burned on this particular spot on my body, but ooookay.
Good thing I keep the aloe vera in the fridge. Soothing. ^_^ I do smart things after doing silly things!
I let myself sleep in Sunday morning. Rather than getting up relatively early to beat the heat, I told myself that I'd do my long run on Monday (which I took off from work). At any rate, Harry and I went for coffee and some breaky, then returned home to hang out for a while. We ended up running a couple of miles together a little later, then hit up Chipotle for lunch.
Harry declared that he was going to get something with caffeine in it. We don't usually drink Cokes, and *le shrug* one won't hurt every once in a blue moon. I hadn't tried Coke Zero yet, so we went for that. It was refreshing!
Embarrassing -- Harry wiping sweat off his chair. Mine wasn't so sweaty.

How was your weekend? BUSY?
Did you race this past weekend? How'd you do?
Warm and cool weather runner?
-Oh, cool running for me, all the way. I don't even understand people who like the temps being over 60*F.
